Our Team

Meet the folks who make it all happen.  We see big potential in every moment, and care deeply about what we do every day.  Our unique development ensures that we have the very best staff, and at every level of operation. 
Dr. Mac Wilt graduated from the University of Missouri in 1978 and practiced one year in Plattsburg, MO.  In 1979 Dr. Wilt joined Dr. Art Griswold in partnership.  In 1995 he became sole owner of the practice in Paris, MO.  Dr. Wilt enjoys mixed animal practice including production medicine for beef cattle, swine and dairy clientele.  He also enjoys working with his small animal patients and their owners.  He enjoys interaction with his clients and patients and the challenges that mixed animal practice in Mid-Missouri often create.  Dr. Wilt is active in his church and community organizations.  He has been involved in organized veterinary medicine in the state of Missouri.

Dr. Sara Thomas started working full time as a Veterinarian at the Paris Veterinary Clinic in May 2012.  She graduated with Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.  She also previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2005.  While she was there she played four years of Division II College Basketball at SIUE.  Sara graduated Madison High School in 2001 and is married to Jason and together have two children, Reed and Laine.  They also raise cattle.

Dr. Mindy Hurt Started working full time as a Veterinarian at Paris Veterinary Clinic in September of 2019.  She Graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.  Upon Graduation she worked for 2 years at Bowling Green Veterinary Clinic then 3 years at both Premier Veterinary Services and Sugar Creek Veterinary Services.  Her clinical interest truly lies in mixed animal practice as she enjoys working on both large and small animal species.  She grew up on a family farm with cattle and hogs.  She is married to Jason Hurt and has two stepchildren and one daughter with Jason.  In her free time she enjoys all things outdoors: raising show pigs, working with the family hunting dog and riding horses.
Aaron Eckman  Veterinary Assistant/Beef Nutrition Consultant 
Aaron has been with the Paris Veterinary Clinic since April of 2004.  He assists the veterinarian's with the day to day procedures and manages the feed (ADM) side of the vet clinic.  As well as helping the vets, he is a consultant for the clients that raise beef.  He does artificial insemination, synchronization programs, nutrition recommendations, and anything else that may help improve the clients operation.  Aaron is involved in a cow/calf operation with his father and brother. They retain and develop their own heifers, artificial inseminate a hundred percent of their herd, background their calves, and then market the calves when they reach approximately 800#.  Aaron has one son, Connor, and a wonderful wife, Brandy.  He enjoys helping Connor with his 4-H projects and teaching him about farm life. Aaron also loves spending time with Brandy.  Aaron is the treasure for the Monroe County Cattlemen's, a school board member for the Paris R-2 schools, and a deacon and trustee for the First Christian Church of Paris.
Glenda Miller is our part-time accountant/bookkeeper.  She also manages the senior housing in Paris and Madison.  Glenda has a dual degree in finance and administrative management from the University of Missouri.  She has done accounting work for Perry and ELCO Chevrolet and Caterpillar INC.   Glenda is married with four children, one dog, and two cats that keepher on her toes.
Rachel Harrison Office Manager
Rachel Harrison started in June of 2021 as the Office Manager for the Paris Veterinary Clinic . She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Animal/Agriculture Science in 2012. Upon graduation she moved to Oklahoma and worked for The Maschhoff’s as a breeding manager overseeing 10,000 replacement breeding gilts/sows. In 2014 Rachel married Jonathan LaManes and moved to the Kansas City area and worked for Smithfield as a Production Manager overseeing 200,000 wean to finish hogs in the contract division in Coffee, MO. In April of 2020 she moved back to the family farm with Jon, three dogs and two horses to be closer to family. Rachel enjoys showing her paint horse, Jack, in different circuits and camping throughout the summer with family and friends.
Robert Meals Veterinary Assistant
Robert Meals is a Veterinary Assistant and started working at Paris Vet Clinic in August of 2020. He assists with the veterinarians with daily duties from small to large animals. He is a graduate of Madison C-3 High School and has an electrical degree from Vatterott college. Robert has a small cattle operation of his own that is done with his family. Robert has been married to Regon for 23 years and has 3 boys Brayden, Cole, and Karson. The older boys are both attending Indian Hills College in Iowa and Karson is an 8th grader in Madison School. Robert and the boys enjoy hunting, fishing, and anything that has to do with vehicles. They attend church in Macon as a family at Cornerstone Church.
